Many of the women and men we know and love swear by their favorite neighborhood salons, spas, and boutiques. We also know that in today's market, American consumers are looking for ways to make their dollars stretch. Integrating charity into everyday business has become more relevant now than ever before because it gives consumers the satisfaction of knowing that their purchases also benefit the greater good.
Glamour Gone Good, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is on a mission to train salon, spa, fashion and beauty industry professionals in the art of charitable fundraising. Each year, Glamour Gone Good distributes in-kind donations and cash raised by glamour industry professionals to worthy women’s and girls’ charities.
Shikha Vasaiwala is founder and CEO of Glamour Gone Good, Inc. and is committed to women's and girls' empowerment and advancement. In 2007, Shikha launched actress and cancer survivor Fran Drescher's women's cancer charity, Cancer Schmancer, dedicated to ensuring Stage 1 diagnosis of women's cancers. Previously, Shikha served as Director of Programs at Do Something, Inc., where she managed social change programs for teens, including the 2005 Kids Tsunami Relief Fund, through which she distributed over $475,000 to NGOs rebuilding schools, children's camps and health clinics in India, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia.
